Over 50s: Strength
for Life
Having strong muscles is a necessity in living an active and
independent life. It is our muscles, after all, that enable us to
climb stairs, dig in the garden and lift the groceries.
As we get older our strength diminishes but this can be reversed
through regular, supervised strength training.
The Strength for Life program was developed by the
Council on the Ageing (COTA SA) and
aims to
- encourage older people to engage in strength training for the
benefits to both health and lifestyle
- increase opportunities by endorsing fitness providers (like
Revive Fitness) who meet their established criteria

As an accredited partner in the Strength for Life program,
Revive Fitness provides low cost, supervised, progressive sessions
each week with a qualified fitness instructor.
